Review: Personalised Calendar from Phototalkz

The start of a new calendar year sees many of us scrambling to either get new calendars for the office, or new planners to note down our many activities and exciting appointments for the coming year. Being in my line of work, I need a desktop calendar that I can know at a glance what appointments I have for the week/ month, BUT I don't really like the generic calendars that we can get out there in the shops (or the free calendar that we get from various events).

But now thanks to  JigoCity  and Phototalkz, I have a chance create my own personalised calendar, tailored to my very own specifications :) I get to pick and choose which pictures I want to add into my calendar, the colour theme I want which particular month to have, and the words I want to add on to the calendar.

I was given a User Guide Book to help me to create my own personalised calendar. This Guide Book is actually VERY useful as it gives me a step-by-step guide to how to use the Phototalkz software to create my own calendar. The Calendar I selected was the landscape one, 220(w) x 170(h)

What I like about Phototalkz is that the ease with which they let you create your calendar. You only need to Download > Create > Print and they will send your finished product to you within five working days! I got mine in four XD

Of course, Phototalkz doesn't only provide personalised calendars. They also have a wide array of products, ranging from photobooks, to photo notebooks as well :)

Download
The software is rather large (approx 152 MB) so if you have a low bandwidth, it might take a slightly longer time, but no worries, once it's done, just install it and you'll be ready to create your own calendar :)

Create
Don't worry about not knowing how to use the software, as the Guide Book provides all this in a simple way, complete with pictures :) What I love about the software is how user friendly it is. I can upload as many photos as I want, and they have a little icon on the side that tells me how many times the photo has been used in the calendar, so I can arrange and decide how many times I want a particular photo to appear. In this case, I think I re-used only one photo :D

They also have different backgrounds, and frames that you can use to put on your photos or calendar page. All very user friendly, as they have little tip-boxes that come with a 'tinkle' sound when it pops up. You can opt for it not appearing again as well, so you don't get irritated by the sound :p

Print
Once you have finished creating your calendar all you need to do is log in, and fill in a form (with your details and shipping address etc) to get your personalised calendar. This is all done with ease as the software has a built in Flightcheck Result window to scan through your calendar to ensure that there is no error before finally uploading it up onto the Phototalkz server for printing.

Once all is done and paid and uploaded, you will be given an order number, and they will send you an email confirmation :D

Then all you have to do is sit and wait for your Calendar to arrive :)

4 working days later.....
I got my Calendar!! :D check out the pictures:

 The first page :)

Back page

my birthday month

little Brendan's month with my favourite pictures of him

and of course, bb with his favourite month :p

Overall, the paper is a little thin, but I'm quite happy with the finished product. Apart from a calendar it also serves as a collage of the memories I hold dear :)

Thanks JigoCity and Phototalkz!! :)
