Review: Rimmel Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses Lip Tint

I have always been a person who loves to use lipstick, but didn't like the drying feeling and dark colours that are so often found in stores. So I resorted to using lip gloss and lip balms instead.

Last week, I was given the chance to review Rimmel's Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses Lip Tint, in the shade of Perpetual Plum

This is a non-transfer, kiss-proof formula that gives lips a flush of vibrant colour that stays on duty for up to 12 hours, leaving no trace.

This involves a speedy two-step application:

Step one: the precision pen-tip delivers mistake-free colour
Step two: the caring balm seals the deal giving extra moisturising comfort

This is me before I put on my lip tint

When I first got the lip tint, I was a little apprehensive as it looks more like a marker pen for drawing on white boards.

Then I used it, and I got blown away. It was very easy to apply the lip tint. Because of its precise shape, I could line my lips properly and fill it in later, very much like how I used to colour pictures in colouring class. The shade wasn't too heavy, which is something that I really like. I was never one for heavy based lip colours and this fit in perfectly with my style. BUT if you prefer a heavy colour, you can just press down when putting on your lip tint, and you would get a heavier colour :D

This is me, after. Perfect for 1000 kisses!

As for long lastingness, I found that it stays on very long for as long as there is no heavy eating or drinking involved, in which case, you would have to touch it up after. But you would need to do this as well if you were using other lip products, so I didn't mind as much.

The moisturising balm was perfect for sealing in the colour and giving my lips a rosy glossy finish :D Although you might have to replenish the coats after a while cos it loses its moisture after a while.

All in all, I like to carry this around as it gives me a 2-in-1 use. I do not have to carry a lip balm, and lipstick around, and I do not need to worry about carrying around additional items for my make up. It applies on easily, and gives my lips a beautiful finish. I wouldn't mind sticking with this product :)

The Rimmel Lasting Finish 1000 Kisses Lip Tint retails at RM29.90 and is available at Guardian and Watson's Pharmacies nationwide :)
