My New Style

As most of you would have noticed (or maybe some who have not), I got myself a new hairstyle last week! Went to bb's hairstylist to get a trim and decided to get bangs to go with it, considering I've never had bangs before.

Review: Facekara @ VIVA Home

Last Saturday, thanks to MyCoupon I had an opportunity to review Facekara, a Karaoke Centre located at VIVA Home, on Jalan Loke Yew. I was pretty impressed with it the first time I was there late last year, so when bb asked if I want to do a review on this particular centre, I was quite excited. After all, I get to sing, and enjoy myself, so why not? :D

Food Review: Pick Me Up @ Kuchai Lama

Will you "Pick Me Up"?

Just last week, I went for a Food Review at Pick Me Up Desserts at Kuchai Lama. I thought it was gonna be like another Snowflakes or UFO, but I was wrong. Pick Me Up was started two months ago by the husband and wife team, Annie and Jared.

Song #4: That Calms You Down

Song #4: The song That Calms You Down

Without doubt, hands down, songs that calm me down are mostly instrumental music along the lines of Yiruma, and Enya :)

So for this song, I would pick Amarantine, by Enya

Since time immemorial, I have turned to them to clam me down whenever I feel stressed during my university days, or even during times when I'm too stressed up over work. I remember for my final semester in University, when I'm cramming my head with Current Issues in Accounting (the hardest subject in my course), I would have Enya and Yiruma on repeat. I would eat sleep study while listening to them :p

Song #3: Your Parents

Song #3: The song that Reminds You of Your Parents

For this, I have chosen Richard Marx - Right Here Waiting

I chose this song because it's one of my parents' favourite songs, and when I was younger, everytime I joined a singing competition, or performance for any event, my mom would recommend that I sing this. Not only for me, but for my sisters as well. I have to admit, when I was young, I didn't understand what the lyrics really meant, I only knew how to sing it cos I have them memorised. But now, when I listen to this song again, the lyrics touch a chord in me. You don't get much songs like these nowadays.

Even now, I still remember how to sing this song, and when I go for my karaoke sessions with my buddies, I will still sing this song!! :D

Song #2: Your Ex

So song #2 is the song that Reminds You of Your Most Recent Ex -.-"

It was a long time ago, and I seriously cant associate any song to him...mostly because he's not much of a song person, and we don't really talk about songs much :p But if I HAD to choose one song, it would be Westlife - Queen of My Heart. If memory doesn't fail me, I think I recommended this song to him during one of our Skype chats, because seriously, Westlife has got to be one of my fav boybands from the 90's (they still are) :D

On a completely separate note, Westlife is disbanding soon :( It's an end to another awesome group :(

Song #1: From My Childhood

I received an email a few weeks ago regarding a meme that chronicles the Top 25 songs of my life, according to different segments. Initially didn't want to do it, but after taking into consideration a few factors, I thought, why not, if only just to let you guys into a little bit of my life :p

So the first song is: From My Childhood

After giving it much thought, I settled on this song: Stoney, by Lobo.

I remember when we were young and my parents still had the Nissan March with the old school cassette player. My dad had this grey colour country songs cassette that he would always love to play, and they had hits like "Tie a Yellow Ribbon" and "Country Road". I remembered this song the most, though for the life of me, I don't remember why :p When he was ferrying us from home to the swimming pool, or back home from school, this cassette would be playing, and we would always sing along to it. Now, I wonder where that cassette tape is..I would love to listen to it again :)
