Review: Natta Cosme Thayer's Rose Petal Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera Toner

Hey guys, my next review is up, and this time I'm going to review the Thayer's Rose Petal Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera Toner courtesy of Natta Cosme, and the Butterfly Project! I got this from Chapter One of the Butterfly Project Beauty School, and now I'm here to share with you my thoughts on the product :)

As you can see, when the packaging came in the mail, I was quite surprised to see that it was quite big. Needless to say, I was quite excited to take a look at what's inside.

Love how the Natta Cosme team took such great care with wrapping each and every box, I can assure you, gift wrapping tons of boxes a day is not easy, especially not when so much care and detail has been given to every box.

After careful extraction of all the products in the box, here's a layout of what we have in the box:

1. A sachet of Egyption Magic Cream (Which I've heard so much about)
2. One 355ml Thayer's Rose Petal Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera Toner
3. A pretty 'angpow' packet with personalised cards inside
4. A small plastic packaging with cotton wool and a pill inside

Awesome yes? :)

In the personalised card, we were given a short brief of the product as well as a discount code for all our readers!

The toner is made of extract from the Witch Hazel shrub (Hamamelis Virginiana) and a blend of other time-tested ingredients - THAYERS® Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera Formula Astringents and Alcohol-Free Toners are soothing, natural treatments that cleanse, tone and soothe your skin. THAYERS® are the only Witch Hazel products made of non-distilled extract from the Witch Hazel shrub maintaining the highest levels of therapeutic tannins.

I like that the bottle is clear and you can clearly see the liquid inside it in order to gauge how much more of the toner you have left and when it's time to restock. On the other hand, it's quite a big bottle for a toner so it's a little hard to bring around when you're travelling. However, that is easily remedied by pouring the toner into a smaller travel sized bottle, so no issued with that.

Ingredient list (in case the words are too small for you):
Purified Water, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf (Certified Organic Filet Of Aloe Vera), Glycerin (Vegetable), Fragrance (Natural Rose) Hamamelis Virginiana (THAYERS® proprietary un-distilled Witch Hazel) Extract, Rosa Centifolia (Rose) Flower Water, Citric Acid, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Seed Extract, Tocopheryl (Vitamin E) Acetate.

When I opened the product, I could tell immediately that it contains  real rose water (or extract) as the smell was quite strong. It has slightly thicker than water consistency, and absorbs well into the cotton pad provided by Natta Cosme.

What else I love about the contents is the the Natta Cosme team is really very detailed and even gave us more than just only the toner! In here, the Natta Cosme clinic actually gave us a little pill which told us about what else they supplied for us, which is the cotton pad :)

This is the Suzuran Lily Bell Lilian Puff, and is available at Natta Cosme as well, for only RM9.90. For more information about the puff, you can head on to their site here *click*

We were also given a sachet sample pack of the famed Egyption Magic All Purpose Skin Cream to try out. Have yet to try this, but I heard that it's really good, that even Luxola has run out of it and they have to restock >.<

Verdict: 7/10. While I like that it contains rose extract, I feel that the rose scent is a little too much for me. Even after I use it, it lingers on my face for quite a while before it actually wears off, even after I have already applied my moisturiser, so it lost a bit of mileage from me on that point. Having said that, it leaves my skin feeling more supple after use, which means that it is able to retain the moisture in my face.

Repurchase: Maybe, as the strong rose scent is a bit of a put off for me, but I might still get it cos it's good :)

Box has a little bit of wear and tear, but I loved how they packaged everything so nicely :)

Additional Comments: One last thing that I liked about the toner is that it is alcohol free. That way, it's not drying on your skin, and will not deprive your face of the moisture that it needs.

The Toner is now available for a very special price of RM45 (previously RM58), while stocks last :)
