But thanks to Mr. Lens and The Butterfly Project, I could get my lenses on time this time around because Mr. Lens have made it so much easier to do so! All I had to do was head over to http://www.mrlens.com.my/en and browse through the wide range of contacts they have available!
For me I have always loved coloured contacts, so it's only natural that I went for the ColorVue Big Eyes range. I decided to go with Party Green, as I have been wearing green contacts for quite a while now, and a lot of people actually complimented me on my green eyes, so I definitely know for sure that green suits me.
It's really simple to make your order, all you need to do is select the type of lenses that you want. Once you are satisfied with the different lenses, you enter the landing page for that particular lense, and select your power and colour from the drop down menu. After that, click "Add to Cart" and you will be brought to the next page.
If you're like me and need two different boxes because you have different degrees in each eye, you can click "Continue Shopping" to add more items into your cart. You will have to select the products once more, and "Add to Cart" after which you will be brought to this page again and there will be a list of the products that you have added into your cart.
Once you are satisfied with your order, click on "Checkout" and you will be brought to the next page.
Before you complete your payment, you will have to fill in your address and other necessary items, such as a gift code (if you have one). When you're all done, "Continue" and you will be brought to the payment page.
Follow the simple steps and then voila, you are Finished!
And you're done! Now all you need to do is wait for the lenses to be shipped to you! What I liked about dealing with MrLens is that you will be sent an email about your order, another email when they process your order, and a third email when your order has been shipped, so that you know roughly when you will get your lenses.
It's so super easy and efficient, and the best part is, you will get your lenses in three days (or less!). I made my order on a Monday, and it arrived at my doorstep on a Wednesday! Too bad that time I was in Ipoh, so I couldn't post it up immediately :( But here it is! :D
The ColourVue Big Eyes Hydrogel Lenses that promises "Bigger Eyes and Sexy Looks". It promises high Oxygen permeability, which means that you get more Oxygen to your eyes and it won't dry out so fast.
It is a three months disposable lense (one of the main reasons I got it cos I can use it three times longer compared to monthly disposable ones), and you can see that's it's not old stock as the expiry date is in 2016.
Inside the box there are two blister packages of the same power, so you if you have the same degree in both eyes, you can just buy one box! If you can see it, the green colour is not very vibrant, but don't be fooled by this. Once you put it on, your eyes will be transformed!
Here's a picture of my eyes taken without flash, under artificial light. You can see the green flecks in my eyes, and my eyes are visibly larger, thanks to the 15mm circumference.
And here's one with flash :D As you can see, the green in my eyes are much more visible, and prettier than under normal lighting :p Everyone I came into contact with kept on complimenting my eyes, and I really loved the way they look. Natural and sultry looking, they definitely give my eyes a different glow :)
