One Fighting Championship Summit at Marina Bay Sands Resort

Event: Shizens Announces their New Brand Ambassadress

Two weeks ago, I was given the privilege to attend another Shizens event at their Level 6 outlet in Pavilion, where they unveiled their new Shizens Ambassadress, Jojo Goh :) The first Shizens event I attended also featured Jojo as their special guest. We were entertained by the MC, Ms. Xandria Ooi. I've watched her from her 8TV Quickie days, and I must say, she has come a really long way since then :)

WonderBox April Edition

My WonderBox April subscription came in the mail yesterday afternoon, making me all the more eager to leave work so I could get to see what products they have in store for us Beauty Box lovers :p

This month's box came with a bumper package!! Initially I thought that it was a free gift or something, but upon opening it, it was actually a set of three-step skincare :)

Samsung Galaxy S4 Pre-Teaser @ Sunway Pyramid

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is here!!!!!! well, a few days away anyways :p

Ever since it was unveiled in the US, it has been the talk of the town, and I myself am contemplating whether or not I should exchange my own S3 for the new S4 :p

Last weekend I was in Sunway Pyramid, and managed to catch the S4 Teaser for the Samsung Galaxy S4. It was all done very well, with an orchestra, and even singers who entertained us with songs and harmonies.

When I hear about Tea Parties, the first thought that comes to mind would be Alice in Wonderland, where the Mad Hatter played host to a tea party with Alice as the guest.

When I heard that Bag of Love was going to collaborate with Delectable by Su for a special unboxing tea party for us beauty bloggers, I almost fell off my chair in delight! Mind you, it's pretty hard to fall off a chair with delight :p

5th International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta @ Putrajaya

Two weeks ago, le bb and I went to the 5th International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta at Putrajaya to take a look at some hot air balloons!!!! This is my first time attending such a thing, and I was a total noob running around taking photos and squealing in delight :p

As you will see in some of the pictures later, the weather that day was gorgeous, and there was minimal cloud in sight! But pros and cons lo, it won't be raining anytime soon, but that also meant that it was freaking hot!!!!!!

However, we only went in the morning cos we didn't want to get stuck in the jam for the night festivities. Sad though it was that we couldn't see the fireworks, for me the morning show was good enough :) 

13th General Elections 5th May 2013

Yesterday, the Election Committee (EC) has announced that the polling date for this year's 13th GE will be on 5th May 2013, with the nomination date on 20th April 2013.

Immediately after the announcement, I went online to various airlines to see the fares and to quickly snap it up for cheaper rates. There were extremely cheap flights on AirAsia, from only RM59, but due to technical errors from Maybank2u and CIMBClicks, my payments can never get through. In the end, the message "the last seat has been snapped up in the time that you have taken to finalise your details" or something like that appeared for EVERY SINGLE TRANSACTION I wanted to do -.-"

Harper's Bazaar 10th Anniversary Edition

Harper's Bazaar is celebrating their 10th Anniversary this April, and to commemorate it they have special edition Lanvin ME boxes with goodies inside! However, these boxes are super limited, and only available in selected bookstores and newsstands in KL.

How did I manage to find out about it? Thanks to Tammy and Jerine!!! :D See, awesome bloggers are awesome. They share and care :D So, goodies like these are shared between all beauty bloggers. Once one blogger finds out about something of value for other bbloggers out there, they share!!!

Movie Review: Oblivion 2D (2013)

So I caught the absolute premiere screening of Oblivion in 2D just now, I say absolute because there were Men and Women In Black walking around the cinema, ready to shush anyone who might even be remotely be using their phone.

Synopsis: The year is 2077. Earth has become a waste land after decades of war with terrifying aliens known as Scavs. Jack Harper is one of the few remaining drone repairmen assigned to Earth for vital resources extraction. Little did he know that he is not the only being there.

New haircut

So le bb got his haircut and Toni & Guy today after his NN The Host Lotus event :p No, we didn't pay any exorbitant sums of money for the haircut, cos he was doing a favour for his friend. He was 'volunteering' his hair for one of the students of Toni & Guy, to practice on him. In other words, be a guinea pig ohohoho...

But of course, having your hair cut by a student has its price. I had to wait two hours just so he could get his hair done, as opposed to about 30 minutes by someone with much more experience....talk about patience. Last time he waited for me about two hours as well when I was getting treatment for my hair, so you could say that I've repaid my 'debt'...haha

Anyways, I posted his pic up on Instagram, and cos I think he looks handsome, I'm writing a post about it..one of the few posts where I blog about something personal :p

Mivva Box (April 2013): GALAXY Edition

Guess what I got in the mail last week? It's Mivva's April box!!! Aptly themed "GALAXY", they have selected products that are the creme de la creme of the galaxy specially for their subscribers.

Mivva is actually one of the few beauty box players in the market who will send out their beauty boxes in the beginning of the month for their subscribers. So while everyone else in the market has just sent out their March edition boxes, Mivva is already one step ahead by putting the finishing touches on their April box.

WeChat TVC Launch @ Neverland, KL

A few nights ago, WeChat officially launched their TVC series at Neverland, with member of the media and bloggers. WeChat is one of the most powerful and successful mobile phone text and voice messaging communication service in Malaysia, and the best part about this is that the application is also now available on BlackBerry. This means that now instead of only Android and IPhone users being able to experience this app, BlackBerry users can now also utilise the app's functionality!

Another reason for having the event was also to introduce their new brand ambassadors, Shaheizy Sam, and also Lisa Surihani. Although, it was a little weird that they were not the MC, much less there at all. :/

Movie Review: The Host (2013)

The highly anticipated second movie adaptation from Stephanie Meyer (I call it second cos I consider the entire Twilight saga to be a first) is finally here.

Synopsis:
The Host is a story of love and sacrifice in a futuristic world with the fate of humanity at stake. Planet Earth has been taken over by peaceful aliens, known as Souls.

Post Malaysian International Shoe Festival @ PWTC, KL

There were so many types of shoes on sale, from heels, to sneakers, to slippers, to wedding shoes, to berbanyak-banyak lah!!! lol you will get to see them later in the pictures below :p

This is what you will see when you enter the main hall of PWTC. These cars actually roam the streets of KL prior to the MISF, but I've never actually seen any of them on the road before. Wished I could have seen them though, it would have been a sight!

Got home from the super duper hot 5th Hot Air Balloon Fiesta in Putrajaya last Saturday, and saw a package lying on the living room coffee table for me :) le housemate was kind enough to sign for me, and at first was blur as I didn't order anything that would be arriving at home on a Saturday.

Opened it up and it was from The Lilac Box!!!! Super excited max (lol talking like a bimbo now but I don't care :p)!!!!! Held it up and was quite surprised by the weight. It is HEAVY. Made me wonder what they had inside that was so heavy, and didn't have long to find out :D

Movie Review: G.I. Joe Retaliation 3D (2013)

The Joes are back!

If you've been living under a shell this year, it's probably time to get out of it :p If you followed the first installment of the G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra, then you should probably catch this one too :)

Synopsis:
