Well, as a tribute to all the women out there, to promote women empowerment, WEVents is founded to provide a platform for women, by women :) WEVents are WomenOnlyMENnotinvited social events organized by working women volunteers . The events are held in a casual environment (with no formal agenda) with the idea of bringing together working professional women for a fun evening.

Review: Mivva August Box, Flower Power!

Holla dearies! It's nearing the end of Merdeka and our country has just celebrated it's 56th birthday! Did any of you went out to paint the town red? I did, and it was awesome!

Nearing the end of a month, we will be welcoming a new month tomorrow, and we all know what a new month signifies. New beauty boxes! But before that, let me show you what I got for Mivva's August box :)

The theme of the month was Flower Power where everything curated in the box is related to.......flowers!!! Looking at the contents of the box, I wouldn't say EVERYTHING is flower related, but at least three of the products were :)

Event: ArTHURSDAY Launch Party 2013 at KL Live

Movie Review: Kick-Ass 2 (2013)

Special thanks to Nuffnang, I got to catch the premiere screening of Kick-Ass 2, the sequel to the big hit, Kick-Ass (duh) :p

How was your weekend? was it full of relaxation or was it hectic? As I understand it, there were a lot of events happening last Saturday, from the CN Blue concert, to the Heineken Voyage (where my friend won a LEICA camera!!!), the Astro UrMalaysianIsShowing event, argh there are just so many events happening last weekend!!!

I had a happening weekend too, my sister finally graduated and is all grown up! But that will come in another post :) For now I wana tell you about something new in my life that I have had for the past two weeks, and I am loving it!

Why I want to go to The Lost World of Tambun with The Butterfly Project Malaysia

I've always thought that theme parks in Malaysia were only the ones in Genting, and Sunway Lagoon. Then two years ago over the course of my work, I found out there's a Bukit Gambang theme park in Kuantan, and now, I found out that there's a Lost World in Perak! Seems like Malaysia is also abundant in theme parks in every corner of the peninsular, and not just in KL and Pahang.

The Lost World series by Sunway City Ipoh has three locations, which is the Lost World Hotel, Lost World of Tambun, and Lost World Hot Springs and Spa :) The best thing about this is they are ALL within walking distance so you can just stay in the hotel, play at the theme park, and get pampered at the spa. Feeling excited yet? Anticipating a trip there?!? So am I!

Thanks to the Butterfly project, they have a review project coming up for September and it is a two-day one-night (2D1N) trip to The Lost Worlds!!! I am ready to pack my bags and jump on the ETS right now to head there but unfortunately I will have to wait until Sept 22nd (if I do get selected >.<) It promises to be a trip filled with fun in the sun, pampering at night, and gossip sessions until the cows come home! :D

Movie Review: Elysium (2013)

It's been a week of movies and this is my third movie this week! *phew*

Movie Review: The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones (2013)

Thanks to Nuffnang, I got to catch the Premiere Screening of The Mortal Instruments two days ago. It wasn't a movie I was anticipating, and I went in having little to  no expectation of the entire thing.

 Synopsis: Set in contemporary New York City, a seemingly ordinary teenager, Clary Fray (Lily Collins), discovers she is the descendant of a line of Shadowhunters, a secret cadre of young half-angel warriors locked in an ancient battle to protect our world from demons. After the disappearance of her mother (Lena Headey), Clary must join forces with a group of Shadowhunters, who introduce her to a dangerous alternate New York called Downworld, filled with demons, warlocks, vampires, werewolves and other deadly creatures. Based on the worldwide best-selling book series.

How was your weekend? Hope it was good enough to chase away your Monday blues and make it brighter :) If not, here's one good news for you. It's only four more days to the next weekend! :D and this coming weekend promises to be exciting cos there are so many things lined up for Saturday :)

But before that, we still need to get through three more days before we say hi to Saturday, and for some of you guys, that means three more days of work. So, we still have to paint our face and head in to work while dreaming of the weekend. For me, when I paint my face, there is something I always use, and that is Jelly Pong Pong's Skin Mineral Foundation with SPF 15 :)

Review: Bag of Love July Edition: Asia's Beloved Gems

If you're a beauty box junkie, you would know that the past month, Bag of Love has continually teased and excited their subscribers, me included :p There was so much hype about their special edition bags well as their July bag.

Movie Review: Unbeatable (2013)

Hey guys, another movie review is up, and this time it's the MMA flick, Unbeatable, starring Nick Cheung, Eddie Peng, and Crystal Lee. Thanks to Tune Talk, I got the chance to catch this movie at the premiere screening, and we even got treated to drinks and popcorn! How awesome is that?

MMA: OneFC is back, this time for the Bantamweight title!

Recipe: Kimchi Jigae

While I love Korean food and Kimchi, I've never thought of cooking Kimchi Jigae at home, mainly cos I don't really trust the kimchi they sell in supermarkets. But thanks to a close friend, Evelyn, she gave us a container of home made kimchi (yes, she made it herself! I'm gonna try to get her to pass me the recipe :p)! So I was at Paradigm Mall this afternoon with le bb cos I wanted to look at the Sephora brushes (I wanted to get the crease eyeshadow brush, but they're freaking exp), and then we just decided on the spot to cook some Kimchi Jigae for dinner tonight since we had some kimchi in the fridge.

So we googled the recipe and set off to Tesco to get the ingredients. The recipe we found is to feed approx 4-5 pax, so we cut it down to size :p Here is my version, and hope you guys like it!

Movie Review: The Conjuring (2013)

Boom! Another movie review is up, and this time I'm reviewing non other than the horror flick, The Conjuring!

Caught this the other day with le bb, and I'm not exactly a fan of horror films, so most of the time I was behind the shawl, but I could still see the silhouette of what was happening :p So did I like it? Read on to find out!

It will definitely be an awesome event as we witness the launch of Arthur's Day, where they will be revealing the artists that will be rocking the Arthur’s Day stage this year along with special performances you will not want to miss!!

K-Palette Beauty Workshop

Hey ladies, today I'm gonna blog about the awesome Award winning make up brand from Japan, best known for its 1-Day Tattoo eye make up range.

Thanks to Manoah Consulting, I was invited to a half-day workshop organised by K-Palette Malaysia where we were given the full beauty consult and which face shape suits which type of make up style.

These are the array of products we were given, as you can see, they even prepared make up remover for those who still came with make up. There are liquid foundations, concealers, eyebrow gel, mascara, eyeliner, eyebrow powder, and eyebrow pencil.

Rent A Hope: Make a Dog's Day Today!

Are you ready to be Parents? This Saturday promises to be an exciting day for dog lovers, and those aspiring to become parents! The Society For Prevention of Cruelty To Animals (SPCA) Selangor is organizing Rent for Hope at Central Park Avenue, One Utama, from 3.00pm to 6.00pm, where the public are encouraged to get to know the dogs, get closer, play and interact with the dogs and get a “feel” being a dog owner.

With a donation of RM20, you can walk or play with a dog in the park for 20 minutes. This is one of the first series of adoption drives that will help SPCA to rehome about 130 dogs and 60 cats in order for the renovation and construction of a brand new ECO SPCA Centre, which will kick start 30 days from now.

Review: Bali Hai Seafood Ramadhan Buffet @ Kota Damansara

A few weekends ago, I was invited to a food review at Bali Hai Seafood, for their Ramadhan Fare. If you're not sure where Bali Hai is, it is actually located at the exact same spot of the old Asia  Cafe in Kota Damansara, just next to Tune Hotel.

There are plenty of parking lots in this restaurant but RM1 will be charged after 6.30pm. daily. The Bali Hai Ramadan Seafood Buffet starts at 6.30pm until 9.00pm everyday  until the 9th of August 2013. As there is an assortment of seafood on the menu, it is a rotating menu and each day the cooking styles will differ so it's better to give them a call to find out more about the menu rotation.
