12.12 Online Fever Returns to Malaysia!

It's back! ZALORA, Asia’s online fashion destination, is returning with 12.12 Online Fever, an online shopping extravaganza is kicking off a slew of attractive deals from the 9th of December till the 12th December 2015 across different e-commerce companies. Initiated in 2014, this year’s cyber event will see over 100 partners and brands across Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, and for the first time – Taiwan.

A ZALORA-led initiative, 12.12 Online Fever aims to drive the e-commerce industry across the region, bringing to consumers some of the best deals that will encourage online purchase, hoping to convert traditional consumers into e-consumers. Together with partners such as MasterCard, AirAsiaBIG, Foodpanda, Hotel Quickly, and Luxola, 12.12 Online Fever is touted to be Southeast Asia’s version of Cyber Monday and Singles Day, and it promises to give customers savings across fashion, food, beauty, travel and more during the shopping season. Participating partners will be featured on a joint landing-page that will give an overview of all offers and deals of the day.

Being a girly girl, it's no wonder I am absolutely looking forward to this day. It's a day to just stay at home and trowl through the entire ZALORA store, bargain hunting and just looking for awesome clothes that I'm sure can be found on their site.

In Malaysia, ZALORA, together with Maxis, WeChat, Domino’s, Tune Protect, MBO, BORDERS, UBER, and other local players, will harness the collective effort to empower e-consumers in the Internet economy by offering great savings options for 4 days. Customers will be able to take advantage of these incentives within the comfort of their own homes.

Tito Costa, Regional Managing Director of ZALORA Group, said, “We are happy to bring 12.12 Online Fever back for the second year running with so many like-minded partners. E-commerce in Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan is definitely on the rise, with a good number of consumers already engaging on various online channels to make informed purchasing decisions. This online sales day will give them a little push, sparking consumer spending by offering their favourite items at the best prices. Last year’s record sales attested that such a cyber event resonates well with consumers in the region, and we are geared up to emulate the same success.”

“ZALORA recognises the importance of building and maintaining consumer relationships in the e-commerce market,” said Luca Barberis, Managing Director of ZALORA. “The 12.12 Online Fever is an excellent opportunity to dynamically engage shoppers online, which will then allow the local e-commerce industry to continually grow,” he added.

E-commerce in Asia Pacific is set to continue its upward trajectory in the years to come, with mass organic growth potential in Southeast Asia. Coupled with the increasing connected device ownership and high-speed connectivity, rising consumer affluence will continue to accelerate the industry for e-commerce players. However, concerns over product and payment security remains a challenge in the sphere of online shopping. Through large-scale online sales days such as the 12.12 Online Fever, ZALORA aims to boost online retail consumption expenditure, while providing reassurances about the e-commerce sector and building trust with customers.

Commencing on 9th December 2015 at 12am, 12.12 Online Fever will go live on all the eight ZALORA sites and the ZALORA mobile app. Various international brands such as Topshop, Topman, Mango, Dorothy Perkins, Rayban and Vogue Eye-wear, Nine West and Steve Madden and Casio, Vincci, Ripcurl, L'Occitane and SimplySiti will be discounted up to 90% off in the hourly flash sales throughout the four days.
