Stand Strong for Tigers with Tiger Beer with #3890Tigers

If you're an avid Tiger Beer fan and drink lots and lots and lots of Tiger Beer in your lifetime, you might notice something different about the design on bottles and cans of Tiger Beer this month – the iconic tiger in the logo has gone missing. It comes as the 3890Tigers campaign launches in Malaysia, asking consumers to uncage their creativity and join Tiger Beer in taking a stand against the illegal tiger trade.


The campaign references the fact that, globally, there are estimated to be 3890 tigers left in the wild today – following 96% of the population being wiped out in the past 100 years. The Malayan Tiger is in an even more critical condition, with only as few as 250 left in the wild.

Review: Butterfly Project 4th Anniversary Product Unboxing

About a month ago, I was privileged to be part of a selected few chosen to celebrate TBP's fourth anniversary. In true TBP style, each of us were given a beauty bag full of products to bring home to try, and it has been fun trying out each and every single one of them.



So many products! Only one face! How to try them all??? Which was why I took a while to go through each one, so here's what I think.


Event: The Butterfly Project Soiree at Posh! Nail Spa

Ask most of the ladies you know and she will tell you she loves to have her nails done, while drinking wine and trying delectable desserts by one of Malaysia’s finest suppliers. 



For me, being invited to attend The Butterfly Project's Soiree was a dream come true. What better occasion was there to enjoy sweets with Moscato, and being pampered?

Event: Tiger #UncageMusic concludes Urbanscape 2017

Say Urbanscapes and almost everyone knows what you're talking about. The annual arts event was held this year at The Row, and one of their partners this year was Tiger Beer.


Tiger Beer presented the finale event of Urbanscapes 2017, the #UncageMusic Block Party with an array of activities along The Row, KL. The area was transformed in line with Urbanscapes’ theme, ‘Rediscover KL’, making it the hub to go to for music and arts lovers.

Watsons has since pulled down that video, but like most things social media, what goes up does not come down. For those of you who have yet to see it, please find it below. A word of caution though, it's 15 minutes long.

Event: Pizza Hut's Loaded Pockets are Back!

Pizza Hut Malaysia, the leading pizza chain in Malaysia has announced the return of the Loaded Pockets pizza in conjunction with the upcoming Ramadhan and Hari Raya season. When I think about Pizza Hut, it brings me back to my childhood of my family and I heading out to have Pizza Hut for dinner. Now with the Loaded Pockets pizza, I can have that again, especially with the set meals that comes with an abundance of appetisers.

Review: Veet Sensitive Touch

Hair removal is something girls are introduced to at an early age, particularly when it involves eyebrows, underarms, and the bikini line. Nobody wants a whole lot of hair in these areas as they're just going to look unkempt, messy, and just plain improper. But there is so much work to remove hair in these unwanted areas as it is time consuming and are sometimes just not done right.

When trimming your eyebrows, you either use tweezers or a razor. But usage of tweezers are painful if you don't do it right, and razors gives you the risk of you accidentally cutting  yourself, which is something nobody wants.

Suffice to say, everybody wants to look groomed, but not everyone wants the hassle.

Tiger STREATS hits the road

Tiger STREATS, the unique street food experience from Tiger Beer, is gearing up to take its culinary delights on the road this March. For those of you in Penang and Johor, you will get the chance to sample Malaysian street food favourites as you've never had them before, all washed down with ice cold Tiger brews. Hurray for food!!!


The Tiger STREATS events in Penang and Johor will be held at the Hin Bus Depot in Penang on 4th March (it just passed!), and JWC The Factory 30 in Johor Bahru on 18th March, from 5pm-11pm. Admission is open to non-Muslims over the age of 18.

Review: Althea Korea's Limited Edition Mermaid Box

Like all beauty loving ladies, I was super excited when Althea Korea set its foot on Malaysian shores. Thanks to Tammy, I was one of the lucky few who were selected to collaborate with Althea on a number of campaigns. Needless to say, I am an avid supporter of Althea, and it is always the first site I go to for my K-beauty fix.


The Althea Box campaign was launched in October last year and features all full sized products at a fraction of the cost. What I like about these boxes were that you could see before you buy if you wanted any of the products in there. No subscription needed. If you like it, you buy it. And that saves me (and I daresay a lot of other people) the hassle.

Event: Tiger STREATS hits KL, Uncage Street Food

When we talk about street food, we think of stalls lining up the walkway, with tables and chairs arranged in some order along the street that has been blocked off for the night, akin to pasar malam arrangements. When I got the invite to attend Tiger Streats, I was curious to find out how they would dress up a warehouse space to reflect that.


I then entered the warehouse, and loved the arrangement immediately. There were tables to cater to over 700 people, and all these food lovers sat shoulder to shoulder around the street food table, sharing ice-cold Tiger beers at Tiger STREATS.
