King's Potong launches two new flavours - Black Sesame and Thai Mango

Chase the hot summer vibes away with two new flavours from King's! The Potong ice cream we all grew up with and have come to love is back with a bold new look and two new flavours. Most of us have spent our hot childhood afternoons enjoying our favourite ‘Aiskrim Potong’ such as Kacang Merah, Pulut Hitam and Durian. Now, joining the King’s Potong family are the all new flavours; Bijan Hitam and Signature Thai Mango, along with a bold new revamped packaging.

Traditionally served as a hot soup, this twist on the Japanese dessert Black Sesame flavour has the same traditional flavours that is popular amongst the generations but in the form of a cold indulgent treat during the hot weather. Enjoy this sweet treat without worrying about straying far from the healthy lifestyle.

Known for its numerous health benefits, the Black Sesame is commonly consumed throughout Asia because of its nutritional benefits which include low cholesterol and sodium, a good source for calcium, iron, magnesium and phosphorus as well as a very good source of copper and manganese. It is also known to boost nutrient absorption. The refreshingly icy-cold treat delights and captivates with the unique, toasted aroma of black sesame.

My first taste of Black Sesame was at KTZ when le bb ordered the dessert. I loved the taste right from the start, and after tasting the Black Sesame Potong, it was the exact same taste that I had all those years ago. King's really outdid themselves, now I can also enjoy the delicious dessert cold!

Although mangoes are delicious on their own, the sweet and fleshy tropical fruit goes well with anything and everything, and ice-cream is no exception. Sourced from Thailand, the Oak-Rong Mango, which is the most sought-after mango due to its sweetness and juiciness can now be eaten in the form of an ‘Aiskrim Potong’! The Signature Thai Mango flavour replicates the natural sweetness and slight acidity of a real Oak-Rong Mango for that perfect balance.

The Thai Mango flavour was really creamy, and very satisfying. The taste is very similar to the original Thai Mangoes that I love to eat, and in this hot weather, super refreshing. I have to say, these two new flavours are really a great addition to the 'Aiskrim Potong' arsenal!

Kicking off the launch of these 2 amazing flavours, King’s has also revamped the Potong’s packaging in brighter colours, to match their bold flavours. Staying true to the classic Potong design, the sophisticated new packaging features the same colours familiar to generations of Malaysians but in bolder hues to appeal to today’s youth.

King’s Potong comes in various pack sizes:
· Normal Range – RM1.40/stick, RM7.29/multipack
· Signature Range – RM2.00/stick, RM11.40/multipack
· Gold Range – RM5.30/stick, RM29.80/multipack
· Twin pack – RM13.90

Til the next time, stay beautiful!
