Wonderbox March 2013 Edition

So I finally got my anticipated Wonderbox in the mail today. As usual I was at work so le bb signed for it on my behalf and I was pretty excited to see what I got this month.

This time, the box was wrapped in yellow ribbon, which I assume is to differentiate between which boxes have different items following the beauty profile that different subscribers have. Another blogger I know got a box wrapped in black ribbon with different contents from mine.

So what have we got this month?

 From left:
Murad Oil Free Sunblock SPF30 (RM170/ 50ml)
Murad's Oil Free Sunblock SPF 30 is a patented, antioxidant-rich formula that prevents signs of premature aging caused by environmental exposure. Its lightweight, shine-free formula provides high UVA/ UVB protection while micro-minerals leave an oil-free matte finish.

Murad Active Radiance Serum (RM398/ 30 ml)
Murad's Active Radiance Serum restores skin's natural radiance, resilience, and clarity with Resilient-C Complex, a new stable Vitamin C technology that delivers 50 times the collagen building, skin-brightening and cell-protecting power of ordinary topical Vitamin C.

Murad Hydro Dynamic Ultimate Moisture (RM298/ 50ml)
Murad's Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture features an extraordinarily luxurious blend of super hydrating ingredients that quench skin and restore youthful resiliency and tone, making it the most opulent moisturiser ever to appear in the Murad line.

Wild Ferns Kiwifruit Rejuvenating Hand Creme (RM??/ ??ml)
An intensive hand creme which contains the beneficial properties of Kiwifruit and Vitamin E, blended with Prosina, a hydrolysed Keratin derived from New Zealand Sheeps' Wool.

Elianto Lustro Lip Gloss (RM??/ ??ml)
Elianto's Lustro Lip Gloss gives lips a lacquer like finish. Enhances the shape and contour of your lips to give you a glossy lustre.

The different product this time around was the Elianto make up product. I got a lip gloss and the other product is a blusher. I'm glad I got the lip gloss as I don't use blush much, but as opposed to a full sized blusher, the lip gloss was a sample size, which seems a little bit like double standard to me :(

(Update: I just got to know that the lip gloss is indeed a full sized item *sorry* I just wonder how come Elianto is selling something small enough to be considered a sample size?)

Verdict:
Their lack of brand variety in this month's box is disapponting :( Out of the five products that was given this month, three of them were from Murad. I mean, having two from Murad for last month's box was enough for me, and I don't need another three more from the same brand this month. If I wanted more products of the same brand, I would have bought their products from their store.

Forgive me for saying this, but this month's box looked like it was put together rather rushed, and there was not much thought process going into the selection of the products. The description card is also not complete as there was no indication of whether the hand cream is a full size or sample size, etc.

Update:
Seems that I'm not the only one who was disappointed with this month's box, as WonderBox posted this on their wall last night:

We would like to take this opportunity to thank every member that has taken the time to leave us their opinion of our March edition. Each month, everyone at WonderBox Malaysia try our very best to bring you the best beauty discovery experience. We strive to improve further and we do apologize for any short coming for the March edition. We hope that you have it in your heart to accept our deepest apology and know that our member’s delightful experience and satisfaction is our top priority.

Recourse & Remedy:
We are fully aware that we can never replace the experience you had with your March WonderBox but we do hope that the following recourse will help remedy the negative experience.

(1)Full Refund:

(2)Partial Refund:

We will credit 400 WonderPoints for each request.

We hope that you will exercise the proposed remedy with due consideration and respect.

~~~
I think this is a good move on their part, and I laud them for their quick action in taking steps to remedy the situation.
WonderBox team, you still have my support for the Beauty Boxes you send out, and I do hope that I will be wow'ed by your April box. But please bear in mind that you have a lot to make up for, judging by the comments I saw in your FB page, so please do take a serious lesson from this, and hopefully everything will go uphill from here onwards :)
Update 2:
I put in my request for a full refund after I wrote the blog post, and since their office is very near mine, I decided to hand deliver it to their office instead of incurring extra charges.
However, before I could manage to send the box back to their office, the WonderBox team has already given me my full refund, and they have also told me that I could keep my current box!
This is a really unexpected thing, and I can't help but be pleased that the team is going through all measures possible to make it count for those who subscribe to their boxes.
I do see that there are some whose accounts have been deactivated, and while I do think that this might not be a good move on WB's part, I think this all stemmed from the way they wrote in to the WB team to state their displeasure and perhaps used harsh words?
I'm not one to judge, and I'm glad that my account didn't get suspended or deactivated, let's just see what comes in the April Edition, shall we?
yes.. eventhough I am not as excited as all the other previous month boxes.. atleast, they "listened" and for that I did not request for a refund :)
Have been a satisfied customer all this while and will give them a chance maybe they will make it up next month!! *fingers cross*
it still against a guy mentality to buy things that u wouldn't know what in it...just like buying a pack of 10pc pokemon card.
I think the Elianto lip gloss is a fullsize. Its the same size as the one I bought awhile back from them.
I love how Wonderbox listened to us and offered a refund.
yea, it was a very good comeback, and I think it did increase the faith of their customers
I requested for a refund because I didn't think I would be using the samples that they gave, considering that these were quite small, so would mostly only use the lip gloss and hand creme. But they let me keep the box even AFTER I got the full refund, so that's pretty good :) two thumbs up!
I would say it's the anticipation in not knowing what's in your box that makes it exciting and some girls like that :p Me, included..
Really? I didn't know that. But it's so weird that Elianto is selling stuff that are so small that can be regarded as sample sized haha
Yup! I think their April box would be better, considering all the negative feedback that they have gotten from their March box. Can't wait for April :)
