Brighten This Year's Mid-Autumn Festival with Casahana Mooncakes!

Hey darlings, today Imma gonna share with you guys a particular favourite festival of mine, the Mid-Autumn Festival, and the joys of playing lanterns and just watching the little children walk along the road excited with their lanterns alight.

Every Mid-Autumn Festival, there will definitely be lots of mooncake offerings in town, and we will be spoilt for choices as to which particular mooncake we should buy and try out. Well, I'm here to let you know that one of the brands you can consider is definitely Casahana mooncakes. I was one step closer to loving them because of the beautiful packaging the mooncakes came in. Aren't they beautiful?

Casahana's Moon Temptation - Pick and mix 2 type of moon cakes. Pandan Delight & German Black Forest was given in the box set.

Casahana continuously raises the benchmark on both their exquisite taste offerings as well as their unique gift packaging. Every year, Casahana moon cakes are set to tintillate taste buds with an unforgettable array of new combinations. This year is no different.

Casahana's Exquisite ~ Lyrical Autumn RM60.90

The Casahana Exquisite boxset is a rather special boxset, with an array of six flavours, all meticulously made and lovingly packaged. This box set consist of Pure Lotus 1 Yolk, Jade Custard, Glutinous Rice Yam, Pumpkin Taro, Espresso Chestnut, Green Tea Apricot.

Casahana's Oriental Garden Premium Gift Set RM99.90

This is by far my favourite box in the range that we were given. It has a light violet colour which is pleasing to the eye and is made out of solid wood which increases it's longevity. I gave the box to my mom cos I know she would definitely love it and use it to put her little knick knacks :)

The Oriental Garden Premium Gift Set combines east-west fusion with traditional and new wave. Find such luxurious treats in Green Tea Apricot, Glutinous Rice Yam Omochi, Jade Custard and Pure Lotus 1 Yolk.  The Green Tea Apricot and Glutinous Rice Yam Omochi had very distinct tastes which enhanced the tasting experience, changing my perception that mooncakes should be the traditional lotus paste.

It was a tough time choosing which mooncakes to eat when faced with an array of mooncakes. But in the end, le bb and I decided to choose the German Black Forest (on the left) and my favourite Pure Lotus 1 Yolk (on the right)

This is how it looks like inside the German Black Forest. The name Black Forest itself will make you think of chocolate and cherries, and this mooncake doesn't disappoint. It has a rich chocolatey taste and the subtle cherries aftertaste suits the mooncake perfectly well :)

The Pure Lotus 1 Yolk is the epitome of a mooncake, where we have been eating mooncakes of this variant since time immemorial. One thing I love about mooncakes is the yolk itself, and this is by far still my favourite. This particular mooncake was complemented with little chunks of sunflower seeds, and it really goes well with each other.

If any of you readers are vegetarian, do not worry as a large selection of Casahana mooncakes are suitable for vegetarians. All the products are made to the highest quality, manufactured under stringent health standards, conform to HACCP standards and halal certified.
