Review: Elianto Brilliant Riche Matte Lip Colour

Just a quick question, how many of you guys out there know about matte lipsticks? According to wisegeek, matte lipsticks are lipsticks that are known for its ability to last all day, and its lack of shine. Due to its long lasting nature, it creates a drying effect on the lips. Personally for me, I don't really like matte lipsticks because I'm more a gloss kinda person, but I felt that at least once in my lifetime I should try out matte lipsticks to know once and for all if I like them or not.

Thanks to Elianto, I got the chance to review these matte lip colours, so what do I think? read on to find out!

Matte Lip Colours are usually dark in colour and not available in such a wide range. But looking at elianto's lip colour range, I would say there is a colour for every girl out there looking for a matte lip colour. 

Brilliant Riche Lip Colour is elianto’s 1st kiss proof lip colour and comes in 6 vibrant matte shades with filming polymers and volatile oils for a natural, kiss-proof performance. Ingredient list

The major ingredients in the Brilliant Riche Lip Colour are Boswellia Serrata (which contains anti-inflammatory properties), and sesame seed (which will assist in providing hydration to your lips)

The Lip Colours are formulated with three unique technologies which are:

1. FILMING POLYMER – It provides a flexible film, and adheres perfectly on the lips, with an even finish. Maintains comfort overtime, without any tackiness.

2. VOLATILE OIL – Long wear and filming properties are enhanced, and there is no transfer effect thanks to the extreme adherence

3. GELLIFIED SYSTEM COMBINED WITH MICRONIZED PIGMENTS – Improves glide and comfort in application, and imparts an extremely soft and velvety touch. It finishes with a sophisticated matte look, with extraordinary pure colour release.

Most importantly, it is formulated without PARABENS, FRAGRANCE, D5 OR TALC

Swatches of the lip colour reveal how creamy it really is, and I love the colour payoff. It is intense in colour, and believe me when I say it stays on for a really long time. This was taken under natural light, and you can see how bright the colours are, as opposed to usual dark colours of matte lipsticks of other brands available out there.

There are nude shades, to coral, plum, and finally red.

The swatches taken with flash. At this time, the lip colours are already starting to dry up, and you can see the matte properties slowly forming on the colours. I love how bright they are, be it under natural light or with flash. More so with flash, so when you go for night events, you don't have to worry about there being no colour on your lips when you take photos.

But of course, swatches doesn't really tell you what you want to know. The best is still to apply it on your lips and let the colours do the talking, so here we go!

In Love

A bright nude colour that kinda reminds me of my aunt back home who loves to use nude colours. Personally I might forgo this for my daily wear as I prefer more toned down colours.

Blooming

A slight pinkish purplish hue, perfect for use when I attend events during the day, where I don't have to make myself stand out so much.

Blissful

The true colour doesn't come out here, as personally I felt that the colour in real life was brighter.  My sister loved this colour and it really suited her. I would say this is a colour that most extroverts will lean towards as it's a fun happy colour.

Sexy

By far, this is my favourite colour. It's a plum colour that's not too bright for me, and I can use this for everyday wear. I also love how it complements my minimalist make up, making it very suitable for me.

Groovy

This is a dark purple shade, perfect for those who like goth as it gives you the burst of colour amidst all the black.

Wild

Bright red in colour, the first thought that comes to mind are geishas, with their white painted faces and beautifully lined bright red lips. This would be awesome for a night out partying with my favourite girls :)

Just to give you an indication, here's a pic of me using Wild. I love how the colour really stands out. Forgive the sans makeup face >.< Only drew my eyebrows that time :p

So which number is your pick?

As mentioned earlier, there are many benefits that elianto's Brilliant Riche Lip Colour provides, and they are:

After trying them on and reviewing them, what do I think? I think that their claims above are all valid, and that this is one of the best lipsticks I have tried. As a working woman, whenever I pput on lipstick, my first concern is that it doesn't transfer to my water glass, on top of being long lasting and providing me with the hydration I need for the entire day.

Verdict: 7.5/10. The lip colours are really transfer resistant, and lasts for a very long time, even after you've eaten and drank some water. The matte finishing is flawless, and after a while of wearing it, II actually forgot that I'm wearing any lipstick. That's how lightweight it is.

 

Repurchase: Yes. For a 2.6ml/0.87 fl.oz bottle, RM25 is a very reasonable price to pay for the quality of the product.

 

Last Comments: I love how it comes in very intense shades, on top of also having toned down shades that anyone can choose. If you're adventurous, you can go for the bright colours, or if you're more of an introvert, you can choose the darker plum shades.
