You know, I was trying to look for my blog post about my new year resolutions for year 2008, but couldn't find any. After wondering where I put my resolutions, I realised that those were private and for my eyes only :p hehe..
It was in regards to Zewt's long ago
post about sending one to yourself. While it's not much of a resolution thing, he asked his readers to
write one letter to themselves,
find an accountability partner, and
read the letter at the end of the year (
or beginning of the new year, whichever strikes your fancy). So then I wrote my letter, and one year later, I got it back, and yes, after reading it, I am amazed by how much I have grown and matured. I am amazed at what little things made me ticked off, and I am amazed at what things I have forgotten that had made me feel deeply about one year ago. And yes, it is very fulfilling. :D
Of course, he recommended the snail mail way of getting the letter, but I typed it out (such is the gross-ness with which technology has affected us in this day and age -.-")
I would like to take this opportunity to thank him for putting some things in perspective for me, and although I have not met him or even talked to him, I would like to one day :) And for those reading this, I would strongly recommend the Send-One-To-Yourself Exercise. Trust me on that. It has been tried and tested, and it passed with flying colours :)

So for this year, rather than making tons of new year resolutions (I am most likely not to keep), I have settled on making only three main new year resolutions. Hopefully I will be able to achieve that, and make my conscience feel better :D
So here goes:
- Be disciplined, and study hard for my final semester of studies. For what it's worth, I want to make the most of it, and find a job in KL. I know, it's hard and tough and all those scary things people working in KL tell me, but I believe I can make it.
- Treasure the important things in my life right now. I shall try not to sweat the small stuff that I can't change anyway, and while it's hard, I will try to always keep that in mind. I have so many things going for me, and I hope that the new year will make 2009 and even more memorable one.
- Straighten my priorities for the more important things in life, those things being CPAASC, and La Salle FT :)
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!
