Event: Fox Sports Unites Fans in REDS Showdown

Sunway Giza, Kota Damansara was awash with a wave of red as hundreds of fans came together to witness eternal rivals Liverpool F.C. and Manchester United F.C. clash it out in High Definition (HD) at the Barclays Premier League (BPL) during the LIVE Match Viewing Party hosted by FOX International Channels (FIC).

Now, I'm not a fan of either FC (don't kill me!!) but I love to watch football nonetheless. So I decided to make the journey down to Giza although I now live on the other side of the world. It was a great scene to take in as fans turned up proudly sporting their team colours (which were both red, btw), and crests to cheer their respective teams and jeer their rivals in good jest in the Reds Showdown live on FOX Sports.

So, Liverpool or Manchester United?

What I liked about the event was that it wasn't just any other ordinary viewing party. There were also other exciting activities that awaited the fans before the live telecast of the match began. There was the FOX Sports Football Simulator and FOX Sports Double Dribble. Fans also showed off their football knowledge in the trivia session and went all out to win merchandises as well as prizes from FOX Sports and sponsors such as BAC, MyEG and Wonda Coffee.

As with the other viewing parties before this, best dressed fans of either FC were awarded with prizes and gifts!

They walked home with official Manchester United and Liverpool jerseys and the honour of being the most fashionable fans of the night. Aside from that, prizes were also awarded to the fans who accurately called the results in the ‘Score Prediction’ activity.

The match finally ended 1-0 in Manchester United‘s favour, with Wayne Rooney scoring the winning goal 12 minutes from time. With such a huge crowd turnout, I will say that the event was a great success, and I am definitely looking forward to more viewing parties to come. I'm sure FOX Sports will continue to bring fans the best in sports entertainment and sharing the joy with hundreds of fans out there.

Fans can tune in to FOX Sports (ASTRO Channel 812) and FOX Sports HD (ASTRO Channel 832) to catch all the action of BPL Live, week in and week out. For more information on the match fixtures and times, please visit http://tv.foxsportsasia.com/

Til the next time, stay beautiful!

xoxo,
