Review: Catrice in Malaysia

Holla girls! So here's another review of a new drugstore brand I found last month thanks to Fiona :) What I love about this brand is that it's affordable enough that it doesn't hurt your wallet/ purse, and there are so many varieties of products to choose from. 

Catrice is a German brand (I think, since the website is a GmBH) that prides itself on following the trends of the latest fashionista and make up artist and formulating products that would cater to the mass market at a price that is friendly to your wallet. Their products are always updated, so there will never be running out of nothing new to try from Catrice!

Event: GAB Consumers off to a Golden Start in the Year of the Goat!

Tiger Beer brings its Chinese New Year campaign, ‘Celebration of Golden Prosperity’ to a close at the exciting finale that took place at the brewery’s Tavern today. The grand finale was held to reward 44 loyal consumers with pure gold, of which 10 consumers walked away with the grand prize of 500g pure gold worth up to RM85,000 each.

These 44 consumers from across the nation were among the ones who took part in the campaign activity between 5th January 2015 and 28th February 2015. All they had to do was purchase any big bottle of Tiger Beer, Guinness, Heineken or Anchor and look out for the winning bottle cap liners.

Event: MIMMA 3 is back, and it's better than before!

MMA has always been a sport dear to my heart, mostly because I grew from not knowing the sport at all to something that I can relate to, and having a real sense of respect for the fighters who go into the ring and emerge heros, regardless of whether they win or not.

So you can bet yourself that I have always been a follower of Tune Talk's endeavours to bring MMA to the local scene by encouraging amateur fighters to have a hand at trying out their talents and strengths. It has been two years past, and this year marks the third, the Malaysian Invasion Mixed Martial Arts Season 3 #MIMMA3 as they scour the country yet again to unearth more local talents at the grass roots level. 

Event: 7th Putrajaya Hot Air Balloon Fiesta

I don't normally wake up super early for an event, but when I do, it's because it's something I really want to do. One fine example of that, is the annual Hot Air Balloon Fiesta happening in Putrajaya. In its 7th year this 2015, it promises to be even more exciting, and has drawn quite a huge crowd.

le bb and I arrived at the site at about 7am, when the sky was still dark and there were still ample parking spaces available. Already, there is a crowd, and I was quite excited myself to see the many different hot air balloons that will be showcased. There are about 20 balloons, from all around the world. There are balloons from Thailand, USA, and even Spain!

Event: THIRST 2015 is here, We Are All Stardust

On Saturday April 25, Thirst returns with an innovative new show to delight its Malaysian fans. Thirst, We Are All Stardust will transform the MIECC at Mines Resort City into a cosmic spectacle featuring world class light shows, pyrotechnics and acrobatic performances alongside the sounds of Dash Berlin, R3hab, Goldfish & Blink, BATE, XU and Hulkas.

 Earlier, on 10 March at KL Live, a specially invited audience was treated to an exclusive preview of this new show. Arriving at the blacked out venue, the crowd was treated to a warm-up set from Hulkas before being ushered to the stage area where Thirst 2015: We Are All Stardust was revealed.

Event: ONE: Malaysia wins big at latest ONE Championship MMA Fight

Asia’s largest mixed martial arts organization with a 90% market share, ONE Championship™ (ONE), kicked off 2015 with a spectacular show at the Stadium Putra in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Fans were treated to another night of world-class mixed martial arts action with ONE: AGE OF CHAMPIONS. In the main event, Adriano Moraes defeated a tenacious Riku Shibuya by Unanimous Decision to retain the ONE Flyweight World Championship belt. 

On top of that, Malaysian fans were in for an awesome treat as ALL FIVE Malaysians competing took home the win!

ONE Flyweight World Champion Adriano Moraes and challenger Riku Shibuya entertained the crowd with a showcase of striking and grappling exchanges in the main event. In the first round, Shibuya came out looking to take the fight to Moraes as the Brazilian worked to get Shibuya to the ground. On the mat, Moraes controlled the action by advancing position multiple times to Shibuya’s back although Shibuya exhibited exceptional defense. In the second, Shibuya did a better job of keeping the fight on the feet as he continued to stalk Moraes across the cage. Rounds three to five saw much of the same action with Shibuya continuing to press as Moraes dominated the ground game. In the end, Moraes’ various takedowns and submission attempts earned him a hard-fought decision.
