Wait, did you say the only brand that has UV Protection for lenses? Now this is something I've got to see. Thankfully, I was invited to a special event hosted by Acuvue, and they actually showed to us why the new Acuvue Define hits the mark.
Apart from the UV Protection, I was also pleasantly surprised on the other tidbit of information that they gave us: 1-DAY ACUVUE® DEFINE® is the ideal choice for beauty lens wearers. Say what??? 20 hours of moisture for your eyes? Now that is something I REALLYYYYYYYYYY need. Being in a fast paced job, I am usually up early in the morning, and only come back late at night after a super full day of meetings with clients. THE REVIEW
So I was already quite excited by the end of the event, and after that, I got super excited again because we were each provided with a set of 10 lenses from each variant to try out. Which was one of the reasons this review took a while, sorry!!!!! Cos I didn't want to waste the daily lenses just by using it on a day I didn't really need it. I wanted to really test out its true form and substance on a day that I had full back to back meetings and events. Basically, on days I know I will be full steam ahead, to see how it fares.
Natural Shine
So, first up, Natural Shine :)
These are how the lenses look like from the packaging, and as you can see, there are streaks of dark and light brown in there. According to them, it will give you naturally sparkling and luminous eyes.
What do you think? Are they sparkly and luminous?
I think it hits the spot :) I went in to work and my colleague told me that there is something different about me that they can't pinpoint, and those are my eyes :p I used to wear coloured contacts, so the splash of blue or green is usually so intense, it got to a point that my client called me the girl with the crazy eyes :p But after so many years of putting on those colours, I decided that it should be time for me to tone it down a notch, and going with natural colours like brown will make it stand out more.
Accent
Next up, Accent style!
The Accent style is more to provide additional accents to your eyes, giving you naturally distinctive looking eyes. In a way, defining it :)
As you can see, I've got a more defined ring, and my eyes looks more pronounced.
This one does not give as much pop of colour as the Natural Shine range, but if you want a more demure look, I would say this is it.
Vivid
So what do we have for Vivid? Out of all the lenses, I would say Vivid is one of the lightest coloured ones, notwithstanding the lighter brown for Natural Shine, and it gives you more vivacious expressive eyes.
What do you think? Do you think my eyes are more expressive? I think so :) I feel the circumference of the eyes are a tad bit larger.
Definitely a type of lens that I would wear if I'm out for a social night, drawing attention to my eyes :D
So what do I think?
- I think overall, I love the three variants that I have been given. Each of them targets a different type of woman, and they have hit the nail on the head for the three types of women (I think) that they want to target. Those who just want to enhance their natural beauty, those who want to draw attention to themselves, but subtly, and lastly those who want to look ladylike without trying too hard :p
- How about the LACREON Technology? yes, this is one of the main things I looked out for when I was wearing them, and I have to say, it does live up to its claims. I didn't find myself reaching out for my eye drops at all, and didn't even have to continually blink to moisten my eyes, even after a long day. I am very impressed with this product.
- I think one other testimonial for this product will be that I didn't have to tell my colleagues or those close to me that I was wearing these lenses. They just came to me and told me I looked different (but a good different) and that is all the testimonial I needed. Looking different and great at the same time is the best thing ever, because you know that the product works, and you don't even have to shout about it from the rooftops.
- So do I like it? Yes, I do :) My favourite? all three! :D
