Movie Review: Skyfall (2012)

Thanks to Nuffnang, I caught the premiere screening of the latest James Bond flick, Skyfall. There has been much buzz about this latest film, what with Adele singing the theme song and all that, and personally I feel Daniel Craig is one of the better Bond actors yet, so I was actually quite excited to see this film.

Nike We Run KL 2012 Aftermath

I'm pretty sure those in the running scene would have heard of the big Nike We Run KL 2012 disaster that happened a few weeks ago. Sad to say, what you have heard, is true. It was everything you've heard, and a little bit more.

The entire event seemed doomed from the start, so let's recap the Top 10 reasons why this year's Nike Run 2012 was such a disaster.

Sinister (2012)

Two weeks ago, I managed to catch the premiere screening of Sinister, arguably one of the better horror films made in 2012 :)

Synopsis: True crime writer Ellison (Hawke) moves his family to a small town following up the disappearance of a young girl and hoping to score another bestseller in the process. Unbeknownst to his wife and daughter they move to the exact house where the girl’s family was executed before she vanished. Everything appears normal until Ellison finds a box of Super 8 home movies in the attic which show the family being murdered as well as others, sometimes decades apart. Through research he finds out that each executed family also had a young child that disappeared. Careful examination also reveals the presence of a dark, malevolent figure in the footage. Ellison becomes fixated on the mystery and his obsession soon puts his own family in danger.

Shizens Hydro Series Product Launch @ Mid Valley

Amidst a torrential downpour last Thursday, I managed to make it in time for the launch of the Shizens Hydro Series at Mid Valley. This is my first anti-aging product launch, and on my way there, I was wondering if it's high time for me to start using anti aging products. Nonetheless, I decided to check it out, and I was glad I did :)

Sanook Bistro & Sports Bar @ Plaza Kelana Jaya

Nestled along the length of the LDP, Sanook Bistro & Sports Bar is found at Plaza Kelana Jaya, a little ways from Paradigm mall. It is the place if you're looking for a pleasant place beside a lake away from the bustle of traffic (you can't hear the traffic at all). A few weeks ago, I was invited to dine here to try their new menu, which was a fusion of western and asian. It was an eclectic mix of flavours, and I would recommend this place to everyone who wants to try something new and out of the ordinary :)

The place was pleasant enough, giving off a relaxed environment, with wide open spaces and fans along the corridor.

Muay Thai Saved My Life Workshop @ Dragon Muay Thai Club, Jalan Alor

9th October was the Thailand vs Asia Muay Thai Challenge, and thanks to Nuffnang, I managed to catch it. Never regretted going for it, but before I go into that, let me fill you in on what I experienced at the Muay Thai Saved My Life workshop that I attended as a precursor to Challenge yesterday :D

This is an overview of the Dragon Muay Thai Club, I like how they have open spaces, and gym equipment all in the same place. Everything is so accessible :D

Avon Kiss Goodbye To Breast Cancer Charity Walk Actual Day

It's October and if you're a lady, you would know what month this is!!! The whole month of October is Pink Ribbon Month!!! and you might have seen lots of organisations promoting Pink Ribbon campaigns and some shops having Pink Ribbon promotions. If you still don't know what Pink Ribbon Month is, then shame on you. True to form, I did my part for charity, and went on an all out 5km walk at Putrajaya Presint 3 that Sunday!!

 Look at all those pink balloons!!! too bad didn't manage to capture a nice shot of the balloons in the air like Michelle did >.<
